Below is a list of current student employee positions in The William E. Boeing Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics.

Staff Assistants: Department Labs

Staff Assistantships (SAs) are full ASE appointments that include monthly salary, health insurance, and tuition benefits. Aeronautics & Astronautics currently offers a variable salary rate. Please review the complete job description before applying. 

Graduate Staff Assistant (GSA)

Currently, we have no openings. The position provides technical support focused on the equipment, materials, and basic infrastructure for instructional laboratory and capstone design courses. GSAs are full ASE appointments that include monthly salary, health insurance, and tuition benefits. We currently offer a variable salary rate. Applicants will be considered for a 9-month appointment. Teaching Assistants

Teaching Assistantships(TAs) are full ASE appointments that include monthly salary, health insurance, and tuition benefits. We currently offers a variable salary rateDo not contact the course instructor regarding TA positions or the status of an application. Check this website for updates.

Likely TA duties include:

  • Independently leading Quiz, Lab, or Review sections
  • Attending class
  • Attending regular meetings with the course instructor
  • Responding to student inquiries, including email
  • Grading homework
  • Grading exams
  • Other course administration and logistical support

Graders

Grader positions are hourly ASE appointments (starting at $17.00/hr) with a maximum of 19.5 hours per week. Grader positions do not include tuition or health benefits. Do not contact the course instructor regarding grader positions or the status of an application. Check this website for updates.

Likely Grader duties include:

  • Grading homework
  • Grading midterms / finals
  • Maintaining course grades
  • Other course administration and logistical support

How to Apply (TAs & Graders)

Competitive applicants will have taken the class (or something very similar) and received a strong grade.  Applications must be submitted as a single PDF file via Google application form (link below). Applications must include:

  • an up-to-date resume
  • a summary of previous Grader / TA experience and
  • a summary of your relevant coursework (and grades)
