Inductively Driven Liner Compression

The fusion based on inductively driven liner compression program studies a unique third path to nuclear fusion energy using magneto-inertial confinement fusion concept, which attempts to fix the shortcoming of the more traditional magnetic and inertial confinement fusion concepts.

Pulsed High Density Fusion Experiment

The goal of the PHD experiment is to compress and confine a very hot and dense plasma long enough to demonstrate a scaling law consistent with a viable power plant. This concept is unique in it's ultimate reliance on cyclical operation with an attractive linear flow geometry.
