Flow Stabilized Z-Pinch Simulations
These simulations demonstrate the stabilizing effect of sheared axial flow in the Z-pinch plasma configuration. The equilibria have a parabolic current density distribution and are initialized with a linear axial velocity profile (uniform shear). The density has an initial perturbation. The simulations are generated by integrating the resistive MHD equations in time using the Mach2 code. The domains are axisymmetric and periodic in z.

ZaP Experiment Simulation
This simulation is a coaxial plasma accelerator connected to a z-pinch assembly region, similar to the ZaP experiment. The simulation begins by applying a constant current across the electrodes that have a parabolic current density distribution. The simulations are generated by integrating the resistive MHD equations in time using the Mach2 code. The domains are axisymmetric.
