Chair of SAUC, review of proposal facilities needs, supervisor for technical engineering staff, oversight of department lab facilities (KWT, 3x3, machine shop), attendance at biweekly management meetings for wind tunnels.

Associate Chair for Academics: Uri Shumlak

Oversight and management of all academic programs in A&A, member on Graduate or Undergraduate committee, attendance at both graduate and undergraduate committee meetings, recommendations for annual faculty teaching assignments, lead on recruitment of temporary instructors for quarterly needs, management of department relations with RSOs, point of contact for education related conduct issues, attendance at weekly meetings with chair and DAS, attendance at monthly meetings with Grad and Undergrad Student Advisory Committees.

Committees

Handles overall tracking of policy implementation in the department, in particular prioritization of tasks in the department strategic plan. Policies, procedures and oversight of the undergraduate program. The committee manages reviews of applicants to the undergraduate program outside of the Direct to College cohorts (specifically, transfer students and degree changes). Membership: One undergraduate student, one member from each of the four primary disciplines in the department, Undergraduate Adviser.

Undergraduate student
Handles reviews of requests for space resources for all elements of the department. The committee makes recommendations to the chair for final decision. The committee also handles implementation of the space allocation decisions. Membership: One undergraduate student, one graduate student, one member from each of the four primary disciplines in the department, Administrator, Director of Academic Services.
