The research conducted in the group includes foreign object damage resistance and tolerance, crashworthiness, lightning strike protection, and certification by analysis supported by test evidence.
The laboratory also provides support to a variety of industry partners in the fields of automotive, recreational, aerospace and infrastructure, by performing contract work in the form of standardized or specialty composite material testing.
