The Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics is fortunate to have a vibrant, talented, and dedicated group of 18 faculty, five of whom joined the department within the past five years. On average, the department faculty hasn't been this young since the heady days of the early space program in the 1960s -- and its energy is evident. Currently the department is home to 87 undergraduates and 130 graduate majors. Supporting the faculty and students are 7 administrative staff and 6 technical staff, as well as 30 research scientists and postdocs.
