Certificate Program in Aircraft Composite Structural Analysis & Design
The Certificate Program in Aircraft Composite Structural Analysis and Design is offered through UW Edge and sponsored by the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Boeing Learning Training and Development, to provide Boeing engineers and vendors state-of-the-art training in composite design.
The certificate program consists of three tailored courses in mechanics, analysis methods and design case studies, covering a broad spectrum of theoretical and practical developments in the field. Taught onsite in classrooms at Boeing facilities by UW faculty, Boeing subject matter experts, and leading professionals from the FAA, courses are tailored to blend theoretical fundamentals with the practical applications critical to Boeing, including hands-on lab and design components.
Since its inception in 2005, the program has graduated over 200 students from Boeing or its partners.
"This is a tremendous acknowledgement of both these programs and the great people that have been engaged in our success – both inside and outside of Boeing.” - Mike Denton, Vice President, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Engineering.
