- Edge Probes [Ip, stability study]
- FIR Interferometry
- Uses a CO2 pumped FIR laser at 184.6 um in a Mach-Zender interferometer
configuration to measure line-averaged density. Continuous in time, scannable
over seven positions in the minor radius on a shot-to-shot basis.
- Thomson Scattering [Te]
- A 5 J ruby laser at 694.3 nm gives a single time Te measurement. Scannable
over seven positions on a shot-to-shot basis.
- VUV Spectrometers [OV (137.2nm); OVI (103.4nm)]
- Two 0.2m VUV monochromators monitor line radiation from two chords
as shown in the diagnostics diagram.
- Flux Loop [Boundary Flux and Paramagnetism]
- Bolometry [Radiated Power]
- An XUV Silicon Photodiode with high sensitivity of 0.275 A/W monitors
total radiation in a wide angle. A 16-channel photodiode array views through
a pin hole allows spatial radiation profile on the mid-plane.
- Rogowski Coils
- Five Rogowski coils are mounted to measure the wall current Iw between
the upper and bottom halves of the flux conserver.
